Answers below match what the app actually shows — resale price, sold comps, sell-through, and market signal (SOLID / MIXED / PASS).

About threquity

What does threquity do?

Point your iPhone at a garment in the thrift aisle. threquity identifies it on your device and looks up recent sold listings from the resale market — then shows a resale price estimate, how many comps backed it, sell-through when the data is thick enough, and a market signal (SOLID, MIXED, or PASS). No typing required.

Does threquity list items or buy from me?

No. threquity is pricing intelligence only. We do not create marketplace listings, purchase your items, or connect to your seller accounts. You decide what to pick up and what to list elsewhere.

Is threquity on Android or iPad?

threquity is iPhone-only today. An iPad or Android version may come later — check the App Store listing for what is currently supported.

Reading your results

What numbers will I see on a result?

Resale price — the median of what similar items actually sold for recently (not asking prices). Sold comps — a badge showing how much recent sold activity backed the estimate (15+ sold, 5–14, or fewer than 5 in the last 30 days). Sell-through — the percentage of listed items that sold, shown when enough comps exist to trust it. Market signal — SOLID, MIXED, or PASS (see below).

What is the market signal (SOLID / MIXED / PASS)?

A quick read on demand from your comps and sell-through. ✓ SOLID — strong comps and sell-through; clear market picture. ~ MIXED — worth a closer look before you decide. ✗ PASS — thin data or soft demand; easy pass unless you love the piece. It describes the market — not a buy command. You still decide at the rack.

What does sell-through rate mean?

Sell-through rate is the percentage of listed items that actually sold in the lookback window. Higher sell-through usually means stronger buyer demand. threquity shows it as SELL-THRU on your result when enough recent sold listings exist to interpret it reliably.

Why is sell-through sometimes hidden?

When fewer than five similar items sold in the last 30 days, the market is too thin to interpret sell-through honestly. You may still see a resale price and a light-activity comp badge — but not a sell-through percentage until activity is stronger.

Why might the price seem wrong?

Estimates reflect recent sold listings for similar items — not asking prices, and not your specific condition, flaws, or local market. One-of-a-kind pieces, heavy wear, or a misidentified item can all widen the gap. threquity gives you a market anchor in seconds; you set the final price and make the call at the rack.

Why is there no pricing for my item?

Some items have very little resale market activity — obscure brands, extremely niche pieces, or misreads from a blurry photo. Try a clearer garment photo with good light and the full item visible. If comps are still thin, that often means the market itself is thin — useful to know before you buy.

How do I get better scan results?

Include a clear label photo when you can (brand and size help). For the garment, use even light, a simple background, and show the full item flat or on a hanger. Obscured labels or busy backgrounds make identification harder. Retry from the results screen if a lookup fails.

Privacy & data

Does threquity store my photos?

No. All image analysis happens on your iPhone. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service.

What data leaves my phone?

Only derived identification data needed for a pricing lookup — text labels, category signals, and similar derived data generated on your device. Never photos or crops. When you are signed in, we may log that a lookup occurred on your account for service quality and abuse prevention. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Pro & billing

What is Pro?

Pro unlocks full access to threquity's pricing system. We offer monthly and annual plans, billed through Apple. Features and trial or intro offers may vary by plan — what you see on the paywall is what applies to your purchase.

How do creator codes work?

If a creator shared a threquity link or code, enter it on the paywall before you subscribe — tap "Have a code?" and redeem it while signed in. Codes lock to your account and cannot be swapped later. Intro pricing or trials depend on the active offering when you subscribe.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → threquity → Cancel Subscription. You can also manage subscriptions in the App Store app. threquity cannot cancel on your behalf.

How do I get a refund?

Payments and refunds are handled by Apple, not threquity directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find threquity, and request a refund. Apple makes the final decision per their policies.

I subscribed but still see the paywall / new phone

Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. Make sure you are also signed into the same threquity account. If access still does not restore, contact us with the email on your account.

Account & setup

Why is the app downloading something on first launch?

First-time setup downloads the on-device recognition model (about 450 MB). Use Wi-Fi if you can. It happens once per install. If setup is interrupted, reopen the app and retry when you have a stable connection.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app → Account → My Data → Delete. This permanently removes your account and associated server-side data. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription — cancel in Settings → Subscriptions first if you do not want to be charged again.
